Former Griffin Group CEO Tapped to Helm Rogar

AMITYVILLE, March 24:
Rogar Studios has named Larry Cohen, the former chief of The Griffin Group, as
its new CEO.

Rogar’s previous CEO and
founder, Cory Rosenberg, will take the new post of chief creative officer and
president of production. Rogar is best known for its television series Sheira
& Loli’s Dittydoodle Works
.

The company is portraying
the appointment as a reflection of their aggressive growth plans in
family-entertainment ventures, and has also said that they expect to greenlight
several new projects in the coming months. Among the new productions in
development is a live stage show based on Sheira & Loli, which is set to tour nationally beginning this
fall. The company’s development slate currently includes a number of new
projects for stage, television, motion pictures and the Internet, which are
soon to be announced.

Cohen was named the
president and CEO of The Griffin Group in 1997 and oversaw all of the late Merv
Griffin’s business activities. His areas of expertise include entertainment as
well as corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions.

“For the past two decades,
I’ve had the good fortune to work with Merv Griffin, one of the greatest
entrepreneurs in the world,” said Cohen. “Now, I’m excited to bring my
relationships and experience to Rogar and help make it what I know it can be.”

“If I had to create a CEO
from the DNA up, I would have created Larry,” said Rosenberg. “His incredible
reputation combined with his affable personality and extensive experience in
finance, business development and entertainment makes him the perfect addition
to Rogar’s management team. We all feel very privileged to have Larry on board.
And I am personally excited about reclaiming my creative roots in my new role
as chief creative officer.”
