Former Discovery Networks Topper Joins Akoo Social Television

CHICAGO: Akoo International has appointed William Campbell III, who previously served as president of Discovery Networks, to the role of president for Akoo Social Television.

Campbell will oversee programming, consumer marketing, business development and ad sales for Akoo, which delivers interactive music television programming and advertising to more than 90 million consumers each month. Previously, Campbell was the president of Discovery Networks, from 2002 to 2007. He was also the executive VP at CBS Entertainment and was director of current programming at ABC Entertainment and senior VP for drama development at Warner Bros. Television.
