Food Network Asia to Roll Out to Malaysia

NEW YORK: Food Network is launching into its third Asian market, securing carriage on the Astro B.yond HD service effective October 1.

The Scripps Networks International-owned channel has already launched in Singapore and Taiwan. “We recognize the growing demand in Asia for the high-quality lifestyle entertainment that Food Network Asia delivers,” said Greg Moyer, the president of Scripps Networks International. "The launch of Food Network Asia on Astro B.yond HD will give viewers a menu of the some of the most popular food series from all over the world.”

Henry Tan, Astro’s COO, noted: “In line with our effort to remain as the customer’s number one choice, Astro continues to bring our viewers the best of international and local content in HD. Food Network Asia HD will be broadcast on Astro channel 706 and we believe that food lovers will truly enjoy travel and culinary getaways programs in richer color and sharper images than ever before."
