LONDON: The exclusive TV distribution and home-entertainment rights for Seven Network’s drama series Winners & Losers are now held by FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) for representation worldwide, outside of Australia and New Zealand.

The 22×1-hour drama follows the lives of four very different women, Bec, Jenny, Frances and Sophie, who had been branded "losers" in high school. The friends are brought together again ten years after graduation for a high-school reunion. A reckless night out leads the ladies to buy a joint lottery ticket, which they wind up winning a jackpot from. The ladies suddenly find themselves as "winners," but the questions remains as to whether their newfound fortune will really change theirs.

Winners & Losers is the latest title to join FME’s drama slate, which also includes Killing Time, Cops L.A.C., The Strip, Satisfaction and Neighbours, along with The Sinking of the Laconia, Exile and The Crimson Petal and The White.

David Ellender, the global CEO of FME, said, “Winners & Losers is a truly fantastic addition to the FME drama slate of programming and we are extremely pleased to be working with such a visionary company. Seven Network have a great eye for quality drama and Winners & Losers has all the right ingredients to be a big global success.”

Janeen Faithfull, the head of contents and rights management for the Seven Network Australia, added, “Winners & Losers is a fresh, feel good drama series that will entertain and engage the viewers. Seven enjoys a very successful tradition of producing and broadcasting innovative and highly entertaining dramas, and Winners & Losers is our newest addition to the slate. We are very excited to be partnering with David and his team at FME and introducing our new show to a worldwide audience.”
