FME Signs On for New Drama Series

LONDON, March 12: Action
Concept, the makers of the hit COBRA 11, has unveiled a new adrenaline-charged drama, 112—Saving a
Life
, partly financed by
FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME).

Set in an emergency center
home to all fire fighters, paramedics and police, 112—Saving a Life watches these services put their own on the line to
face death day after day.

Currently in production, the
German-language episodes are scheduled to broadcast on RTL, with a MIPCOM
launch slated for the international market.

Action Concept’s CEO, Hermann Joha, said: “I am really excited about
working with RTL on another format besides COBRA 11. 112–Saving
a Life
takes the genre of daily drama in an entirely new
direction. I’m also looking forward to collaborating with FME, which has an
excellent reputation in international distribution.”

RTL’s executive producer
of daytime programming, Christiane Ghosh, commented: “RTL’s 15 years of
experience in drama meets the action genre—strong characters and daring
rescues—means exciting drama guaranteed.”

FME’s CEO, David Ellender, added, ”Action Concept’s actions really do speak louder than words.
Their death-defying stunts are legendary and the combination with high drama
makes this series ‘must-see’ TV on a multi-national scale.”
