FME Adds to U.K. Home-Entertainment Team

LONDON: Andy Palmer has been named U.K. sales and marketing manager for home entertainment at FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME).

Palmer is tasked with building the FME home-entertainment offerings through acquisitions, title exploitation and close working relationships with FME’s home-entertainment partner labels, which include Revelation Films, as well as Network, Fabulous Films and Firefly Entertainment. He will also focus on FME’s own titles, which include Trinity, Cosmos, The Apprentice, Live From Abbey Road, Jamie Oliver titles and more. Palmer will report to Pete Kalhan, the senior VP of home entertainment and archive sales at FME. Palmer has more than 16 years of experience in the industry, a large part of which was spent with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, where he was the sales director.

Kalhan commented, “Our U.K. operations are going from strength to strength and Andy’s studio-based background and wealth of knowledge through working with independents makes him a valuable asset to the home-entertainment team.”

Palmer added, “FME is one of the most successful content distribution and licensing companies in the world and I’m delighted to be joining the home-entertainment team. My background, contacts and experience will be a benefit in what is now a really exciting time for the industry.”
