Five Unveils Winter Lineup

LONDON, November 29: Five
is set to roll out its slate of new winter programming, which will include
contemporary documentaries and other factual fare.

It Pays to Watch, a Money Saving production for Five, is a new magazine series presented by British
consumer journalist Martin Lewis. Lewis will show viewers how to save money
without cutting back, but by beating the system.

In the way of human
interest content, Britain’s Bravest, a Fever production, tells
the stories of real emergencies, rescues and bravery from around the country.
The series will include archive footage from real emergency services videos and
recordings, CCTV images and user-generated footage.

A Lion Television
production, the 15-part series The Rough Guide To… reveals the ultimate travel experiences. From the
best beaches, luxury destinations and island getaways to choosing holiday,
sporting and wildlife locations, presenters Julia Bradbury and Toby Amides will
set travelers in the right direction.

Debuting later in the
year, from production outfit Twofour comes The Shop, an eight-part fashion-entertainment series. The
Shop
calls for audience
interaction, with fashion takeouts and entertainment stunts featuring the
shoppers themselves, while celebrity guests will also be involved.

Other titles in Five’s
portfolio include I Own Britain’s Best Home, a talkbackTHAMES production examining the
architecture, interior design and construction of desirable domiciles in
Britain; Electric Sky’s Make Your Child Brilliant, featuring brain trainer Bernadette Tynan; the
two-part documentary The Kate Moss Years, a North One production following British model Kate Moss; the
Firecracker production, The Man Who Lives with Bears; and So You Think You Can Be A Single Parent, from Granada Factual London.

Five’s director of
programs, Jay Hunt, said: "From money to food, dramatic rescue to
ground-breaking natural history, Five's winter programming is distinctive and
ambitious. I am excited to have such a
creatively interesting lineup at the heart of the peak schedule."
