Five Commissions Live Entertainment Event

LONDON: Five has commissioned Don’t Stop Believing, a live entertainment event featuring musical performance groups, produced by Shine TV and GroupM Entertainment.

The show will feature a search for existing and first-time musical groups, who will perform some of the industry’s greatest songs in never-before-heard arrangements. Alongside the main competition, the public will also be invited to join a specially created Don’t Stop Believing supergroup that will represent the U.K. on the thriving international Glee Club circuit in the U.S. These auditions will be held while the series on air, with new members joining the ranks every week. The groups will be choreographed, coached and judged by industry experts with five live elimination shows culminating in a live finale.

Richard Woolfe, Five’s channel controller, said: “There’s an explosion of musical performance groups being formed in the U.K. and Don’t Stop Believing will tap into that exciting groundswell. This will be the first series to combine both singing and dancing to create an amazing entertainment spectacle which will completely capture the viewers’ imagination.”
