Five Appoints Barnes as Editor for Digital Channels

LONDON, August 16: Sky executive Kate Barnes has been tapped
as the channel editor of Five’s digital channels Five Life and Five US.

Barnes takes up her new role in the fall, reporting to
Hannah Barnes, the director of programs for Five US and Five Life. She will be
responsible for the day-to-day operations of Five US and Five Life and for
implementing the channels’ programming strategy.

Barnes is currently the senior acquisitions executive for
Sky One, Two and Three, where she is responsible for negotiating format and
acquired content rights across a range of programming. Prior to this she served
as the channel editor for Challenge, where she was in charge of programs like Fear
Factor and Miss World.
