First Look Takes on Aqua Teen Feature

LOS ANGELES, January 3: First Look Pictures has taken on
the U.S. theatrical distribution rights to Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters, the feature film based on the popular Aqua
Teen Hunger Force
series that airs on
Cartoon Network’s late-night Adult Swim block.

Slated to hit theaters in the U.S. this March, the film
marks First Look’s first theatrical foray into animation. Written, produced and
directed by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, the film is also Adult Swim’s first release under the Williams Streets banner.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force had its series premiere in September 2001, when
Adult Swim launched. More than 60 episodes of the series have been completed.
The latest season ends its run this month.
