AmericanLife TV to Air Clooney Darfur Doc

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 3: On January 15, in honor of the Martin Luther King
Jr. holiday, AmericanLife TV Network will premiere the documentary A Journey
To Darfur
, featuring George Clooney and his father, reporter Nick
Clooney, on their visit to refugee camps in war-torn Sudan.

Featuring one-on-one
conversations with refugees, the film is an attempt to appeal to the socially
conscious Baby Boomer generation, which the network is targeted to. “The Darfur
issue is one that truly resonates with this generation,” says Larry Meli, the
president of COO and AmericanLife TV. “In addition, Martin Luther King III has
called Darfur an issue that his father would have cared passionately about, so
we’re proud to have his support as we honor the holiday by bringing this
revealing look at an international tragedy to our viewers.”

A Journey To Darfur
is scheduled for encore broadcasts on January 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and January 26
at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
