Fireworks Presents L.A. Screenings Highlights

LONDON: Fireworks International’s slate for the L.A. Screenings covers everything from dramas to documentaries, featured along with a roster of digital content.

The family drama Heartland returns with a fourth season, along with a two-hour TV-movie special. Further offerings in the TV-movie genre include two films from the recently launched Shadow Island Mysteries franchise, produced by Breakthrough Films & Television. The detective drama Republic of Doyle was recently commissioned for a second season by Canada’s CBC and both seasons will be on offer from Fireworks at the Screenings. In the way of non-fiction, the wildlife doc series Wildlife Rescue Africa has 12 hour-long episodes that go deep into the heart of Africa.

Fireworks is also highlighting a slate of digital content, including the drama The Booth at the End, which comes via the distribution deal with Michael Eisner’s Vuguru. Meanwhile, Girl Number 9 is a fast-paced, six-part thriller.
