FilmRise Acquires Duo of Titles

FilmRise has secured the North American distribution rights for West of Liberty and the U.S. distribution rights for Little Dog.

West of Liberty (Anagram and Network Movie for ZDF and SVT) is a six-hour crime-thriller miniseries following the exploits of former Stasi agent and CIA informant Ludwig Licht as he is dragged back into the darkest corners of the intelligence world. It stars Wotan Wilke Möhring (Tatort [Das Erste], Valkyrie), Michelle Meadows, (Katsching!), Matthew Marsh (Knightfall, Casualty, Humans), Cara Horgan (Traitors, The Death of Stalin) and Anastasia Hille (Keeping Faith, Baptiste, Wanderlust, The Missing).

Little Dog (Little Dog Big Dog, Cameron Pictures and Elemental Pictures for CBC) is a Canadian comedy starring amateur boxer Joel Thomas Hynes (Frontier, Orphan Black) that takes place in the forever-surprising world of professional boxing. The 15 half-hour episodes center around Tommy “Little Dog” Ross, who has the chance to redeem himself in a rematch after forfeiting to another boxer several years earlier.
