FIC Builds Indian Portfolio

MUMBAI: Fox International Channels has launched seven new channels in India, a market that is expected to have 149 million pay-TV subscribers in 2014.

FIC has expanded its Indian portfolio with National Geographic Channel HD, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Music, FX, Fox Crime and BabyTV rolling out on DTH and cable systems. These add to the existing National Geographic Channel and FOX History & Entertainment.

Keertan Adyanthaya, managing director for Fox International Channels and National Geographic Channels in India, said the expanded portfolio will provide an "opportunity to reach out to a wider audience base and keep our viewers enthralling by compelling content ranging from crime to comedy,from Adventure to music and from fiction to factual shows."
