FIC Brings Korean Channel to HK

HONG KONG: FOX International Channels is launching the Korean entertainment service tvN in Hong Kong on PCCW’s now TV IPTV platform.

A joint venture between FIC and Korea’s CJ Media, the channel will be versioned in Chinese for Hong Kong audiences. The slate includes original drama, entertainment series, reality fare and lifestyle shows. It has already rolled out in Taiwan and is set to expand to other markets in Southeast Asia.

To ensure that Hong Kong audiences can best appreciate the channel’s unique Korean flavor, tvN will broadcast in Korean and subtitled in Chinese, and will be supported by sophisticated on-ground promotional events."
