Feltheimer to Give Banff Keynote Interview

TORONTO: Lionsgate’s co-chairman and CEO, Jon Feltheimer, will kick off the 2009 Banff World Television Festival with a unique one-on-one keynote interview conducted by Richard Stursberg, CBC/Radio-Canada’s executive VP of English services.

On June 8, Feltheimer and Stursberg will discuss major issues currently shaping the direction of television production, distribution and digital media, as well as the key ingredients of what it takes to make great television. Feltheimer will also accept an Outstanding Achievement Award on behalf of Lionsgate Television at a luncheon later that day.

“We’re honored to kick off our BANFF Festival with the CEO of one of the most innovative and entrepreneurial companies in the entertainment industry today,” said Stursberg. “Lionsgate has been pushing the envelope in all areas of content creation and distribution, and its television business has established the gold standard in nearly every aspect of television production, distribution, reality programming and channel platforms. Jon’s keynote address at NATPE earlier this year stimulated broad discussion on the future of our television business, and we look forward to continuing this provocative, entertaining and enlightening dialogue at BANFF.”
