FCCE Closes String of International Sales

AMSTERDAM: Film Content Company Europe (FCCE) has struck new deals in more than 40 territories, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America, for a range of new and existing titles.

In Europe, a major agreement was signed with Viasat’s TV1000 to supply film-related shorts for a further two years. Also, TV1000 licensed FCCE’s catalogue of Star Profiles.

FCCE licensed Hollywood Buzz to Kanal D in Romania and Action Zone and Hollywood Buzz to Ukraine’s M1. Other sales across Central and Eastern Europe include Boxed licensed in Russia and Ukraine through partner Red Media. FCCE licensed Spotlight On to Canal+ in Poland.

An in-flight entertainment deal was secured for Spotlight On in the Middle East with SPAFAX, for airing on Dubai-based Emirates Airlines.

In Africa, the programs Films & Stars, Action Zone, Kids Flix and Spotlight On have sold into territories such as Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Congo and Togo. FCCE also signed pre-MIPCOM deals with several stations for Hollywood Buzz to be licensed across 17 African nations, including Ghana to Viasat 1.

FCCE scored its first deal in Latin America, where 52 episodes of the weekly children’s magazine Kids Flix will begin broadcasting in November.

FCCE Asia Pacific notched up deals covering IPTV, mobile and broadcast platforms. Films & Stars, Hollywood Buzz and Kids Flix were sold into territories such as Singapore, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. Films & Stars Asia, the first weekly lifestyle entertainment program blending Asian and Hollywood film and celebrity news, is available for presale pending its release in 2010.
