The original series centers on a 15-year-old girl who wins her own reality-TV show. When she becomes star of the new reality series, she realizes she must deal with her character-filled family vying for the show’s attention.

Family Channel commissioned the series from Canadian producer Fresh TV, the company behind My Babysitter’s a Vampire, the Total Drama franchise and 6TEEN. Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch are the show’s co-creators, while Brian Irving is producer. Brian Roberts of Everybody Loves Raymond serves as the director and creative producer. Alice Prodanou serves as co-executive producer.
