Expanded Russian Coverage for SET

LONDON: Sony Entertainment Television has expanded its Russian reach, scoring carriage on National Cable Networks (NCN) and St. Petersburg Cable Television (SPCT).

The network, Sony Pictures Television’s latest channel brand in Russia and the CIS, now has extensive coverage in Moscow and St. Petersburg, adding to previous agreements with multiple operators, including Russia’s Akado, UfaNet, NTV+ and ER Telecom; Volia in Ukraine, Alma TV in Kazakhstan and Cosmos TV in Belarus. The channel delivers imported comedies, dramas and reality fare for viewers 18 to 49.

Announcing the new carriage, Ross Hair, executive VP of international networks at SPT, noted: “Pay-TV operators and viewers alike have responded enthusiastically to Sony Entertainment Television since the channel launched in the region last year. Extending our distribution in Moscow and St Petersburg, in partnership with NCN and SPCT, is a big step forward for our business in Russia.”
