Ex-HBO International Chief Announces Suit Settlement

NEW YORK, September 5: Steven Rosenberg, former president of
HBO International, has reached an out-of-court settlement with the premium
pay-TV service stemming from his dismissal from the company in 2004.

Late in 2004, Rosenberg as well as Alejandra Solett, then
the general director of the Warner Channel, were initially suspended pending an
internal investigation. In December, both executives’ contracts were
terminated.

The suspension revolved around a company called Advertising
Services Group, which Rosenberg and Solett allegedly helped to establish. The
pair was reported to have steered business towards the company, which sold
advertising in Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia for television
networks.

Rosenberg filed suit against HBO in 2005 contesting the
alleged “for cause” termination of his contract. Terms of the out-of-court
settlement were not disclosed.
