Ex-4Kids Executive Joins Marvel

NEW YORK, October 4: Simon Philips, previously the managing
director of 4Kids International, has been appointed as the new president of
Marvel International, effective November 13, succeeding Bruno Maglione, who
last month joined IMG.

Philips will oversee Marvel’s international consumer
products group and report directly to Marvel’s new office of the chief
executive. He has more than 15 years of licensing experience, and at Marvel, he
will look to maximize Marvel’s international presence through developing
licensing campaigns for both Marvel’s major movie events and its core classic
comic book characters.

“With Simon’s vast experience and fresh perspective, he is
the perfect addition to the Marvel team," said John Turitzin, EVP, Office
of the Chief Executive.
“International licensing is one of the largest and most important growth
categories for Marvel. We are confident that Simon will support and strengthen
our global vision for the company.”
