ESPN Commercial Director Named for Oz, NZ

SYDNEY: Gus Seebeck, former program manager for sports at Network Ten, has been appointed to manage the ESPN business in Australia and New Zealand.

In the newly created role of commercial director, Seebeck will spearhead ESPN’s strategic direction, commercial integration, revenue generation, digital and new-media extensions, brand management and key shareholder alliances for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Seebeck will report to Mike Morrison, the VP and general manager at ESPN Asia Pacific. Morrison commented, “Gus’ appointment is another step forward for ESPN in the region, reflecting our continued investment and commitment to Australia and New Zealand. Gus will build on our ongoing efforts to continue to provide the best of international sport to Aussie sports fans and continue to grow our business and those of our partners.
