ER’s Jim Jam & Sunny to Roll Out in the U.S. on KOL Jr.

NEW YORK, October 9:
Entertainment Rights will launch a variety of content from the live-action
series Jim Jam & Sunny on
AOL’s preschool-targeted broadband platform KOL Jr. beginning this fall.

Through the
agreement with KOL Jr., Jim Jam & Sunny makes its U.S. digital launch debut,
offering content such as episodes, games, editorial promotions and printables.

Produced in a modular
format, Jim Jam & Sunny is
an original series delivered in segments. It allows for the property to have
greater flexibility to work across multiple platforms, in both digital and
linear forms. Entertainment Rights will work closely with KOL Jr. to build the
brand in the U.S., with a cross-platform marketing and promotional strategy.

Jim Jam
& Sunny
is a
live-action preschool show that encourages learning, discovery and play through
the use of musical participation, stories and interactivity. Each episode is
filled with short stories, activities, songs, games and fun glimpses of real
life. The show launched on television in the U.K. in the fall of 2006, and
currently airs exclusively every day on GMTV, CiTV and Sunday mornings on ITV1
in the U.K. Jim Jam & Sunny is the largest-ever preschool commission for ITV1, with
260×11-minute episodes.

“The Jim
Jam & Sunny
brand
is the perfect fit for online distribution and its engaging preschool content
lends itself well to the digital model,” said Kathleen Hricik, the executive VP
for Entertainment Rights North America. “Partnering with AOL presents a
fantastic opportunity to further drive Entertainment Rights’ multiplatform
strategy for programming and introduce this successful U.K. franchise to kids
in the U.S.”
