eOne’s Darren Throop Added to MIPTV Keynote Lineup

PARIS: Darren Throop, the president and CEO of Entertainment One (eOne), has been slated to speak as part of MIPTV’s Media Mastermind keynote series, while actress Thandie Newton is planning to attend the market to promote the new eOne series Rogue.

Throop will talk about the recent acquisition of Alliance Entertainment, and how this affects the future of his group’s expanding multi-territory, multiplatform business. He will also express his vision of actively acquiring ownership of content rights for exploitation across all media platforms around the world.

eOne will be presenting the Canada/U.K. co-production Rogue, starring the British actress Thandie Newton, who will be on hand. Newton accompanies the series creator, writer and supervising producer Matthew Parkhill; showrunner, executive producer and co-director Nick Hamm; Peter Emerson, eOne’s president of international television; and Patricia Ishimoto, DIRECTV’s entertainment VP.
