LOS ANGELES/TORONTO: Entertainment One (eOne) has announced that Josh Lucas will headline the new legal drama The Firm, while popular Latin American actor Cristián de la Fuente is set to guest star in Haven.

Lucas, known for his roles in The Lincoln Lawyer and Sweet Home Alabama, among others, will star as Mitchell McDeere in The Firm, the TV adaptation of John Grisham’s best-selling novel from eOne and Sony Pictures Television. AXN is on board as the international broadcast partner, with eOne Television handling the global rights outside of the AXN window.

Meanwhile, de la Fuente will appear on Haven—a co-pro of eOne, Syfy, Universal Networks International (UNI) and Shaw Media—for one episode as Cornell, a straight-laced, mild-mannered banker who is hiding a dark and shocking double life. The Chilean-born actor has appeared in both Spanish-language and English-language television, and was once a contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Other stars slated to guest on the new season of Haven include WWE Superstar Edge, Vinessa Antoine and Jason Priestley. Season two makes its debut July 15 on Syfy in the U.S. and July 18 on Showcase in Canada, followed by rollouts on Syfy Universal channels around the world beginning in the fall. Haven is produced by Entertainment One and Big Motion Pictures in association with Piller/Segan/Shepherd.
