LONDON: Endemol has secured the international format rights to the new game show The 20 Little Piggy Banks, which will be among the highlights of its MIPTV slate.

Endemol will represent the format around the world, excluding Spain and France. The series was co-created by Spain’s Phileas and TF1 Productions of France. The 20 Little Piggy Banks watches as contestants compete to win grand prizes hidden within personalized piggy banks. Players must work to accumulate as many ‘piggies’ as possible by answering general-knowledge questions. In the final game all remaining piggies will be smashed to reveal the prizes. Along the way, there is the chance that contestants could leave empty handed if they happen to come across the black coin.

Grant Ross, Endemol’s director of international acquisitions, commented, “The 20 Little Piggy Banks is a brilliant play along game show, which we believe has great potential as a global format. We are extremely excited about launching it to the international market at MIPTV.”

Sergio Sancho, co-founder and owner of Phileas, added, “We are very happy that Endemol decided to work with us on The 20 Little Piggy Banks. I’m confident that together we can turn this show into an international success. Working with Endemol is a pleasure, a great experience and gives you the confidence of working with the best possible team.”
