Endemol Secures New Format Deals Across Central, Eastern Europe

HILVERSUM, June 18: In the run-up to DISCOP, Endemol
International has reached a number of new broadcast deals across Central and
Eastern Europe for its reality and game show formats.

Romania’s Antena 1 and the Georgian Public Channel in
Georgia have both snapped up Endemol’s Latin American game show Go!, for a summer debut. Antena 1 has also picked up
Endemol France’s hit format Dream Day, with the first season due to premiere in the summer.

Endemol has also licensed the game show 1 vs. 100 to ONT in Belarus, for a fall premiere. In Croatia,
RTL has acquired the fourth season of Big Brother for launch this fall. This follows Endemol’s recent
deal with TV4, which will see Big Brother return to TV in Poland for the first time in five years. Polsat in
Poland has also snapped up the first season of Endemol Spain’s format Celebrity
Daycare Contest
, which is slated to launch
this fall.

Other Endemol formats that will make their market debut at
DISCOP this year include Show Me What You’ve Got (aka Show Me The Money),
the new talent show My Name Is…
and 1 vs. The Kids, the spin-off
version of international blockbuster 1 vs. 100. Endemol will be offering fully interactive packages
around these formats, and will also be bringing Break The Bank—its participation-TV version of Deal
Or No Deal
—to the market for the
first time.

Job van Wagensveld, the executive director of sales at
Endemol International, commented: “We already have over 26 formats in
production across Central and Eastern Europe in addition to the 20 or so finished
programs we have on air. We’re in a great position to build on this and the
portfolio we’re taking to DISCOP 2007 is our biggest so far. We’re also looking
to strategically build on our position as world leader in participation TV and
will be bringing a whole new breed of these shows to the market for the first
time.”
