Endemol Scores Polish Drama Commission

HILVERSUM: Endemol Polska has been commissioned by TVN to produce a local version of the Dutch drama Roses and Vodka Lime, called Klub Szalonych Dziewic.

The original Endemol Netherlands series ran for six series, initially on RTL and subsequently on Talpa. The drama tells the story of a longstanding friendship between four beautiful, talented and ambitious women immersed in modern city life. Casting is now under way for the Polish treatment.

Roses and Vodka Lime is being distributed worldwide by Endemol International and will be available as a scripted format at DISCOP.

Ryszard Sibilski, the managing director of Endemol Polska, commented: “This is a superb drama that has everything going for it—wonderful characters and a compelling narrative that will appeal to a wide audience. It’s already been a big hit in Holland and I have no doubt that Polish viewers will love it just as much.”

Caroline Torrance, the director of scripted programming and distribution at Endemol International, added: “We’re delighted to have secured our first Polish drama commission with one of our proven hit series. We’re continuing to globally expand our drama business and this commission represents another breakthrough in this genre.”
