Endemol Game Show Slated for October 13 NBC Launch

BURBANK, September 28: Endemol
USA’s 1 vs 100 game show begins its
five-week run on NBC on Friday, October 13 at 9 p.m. with Bob Saget as its
host.

The game show will follow an
original episode of Deal or No Deal.
Following the season premiere, it will sit in its regular 8 p.m. slot,
beginning October 20, leading into Las Vegas at 9 p.m. Crossing Jordan will return to the NBC schedule at a later date.

In making the announcement, Kevin Reilly, the president of
NBC Entertainment, noted, “This entertaining game is a proven winner from
Europe that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as the pressure builds
with every question and the financial stakes grow higher. Bob Saget is the perfect
host to keep things percolating without letting the excitement of so many
people spin out of control."

The game requires that one player must outlast 100 people in
a battle of brains to win up to $1 million. To stay in the game, the player
must answer trivia questions and get every one right—wrong answers from
the mob eliminates them from the game, driving up the cash prize for the
player. If the player can eliminate all 100 members of the mob, they'll go home
with the $1 million top prize. However, if the player gets one answer wrong,
the game is over and "the mob" will split the player's winnings up to
that point.

The format has performed well in Sweden, Belgium, the
Netherlands, Germany, Argentina and Portugal and was recently sold to the BBC.
