EM.TV Exceeds 2006 Sales and Earnings Objectives

UNTERFÖHRING, March 27: The German media company EM.TV AG
outperformed its sales and earnings objectives for 2006, led by its sports division,
whose business was boosted by the FIFA World Cup.

Highlights of EM.TV’s financial results include:
consolidated sales increased by 21 percent to 253 million euros; EBIT of 12.1
million euros, more than double the EBIT of 2005, and earnings after taxes
reached 9.9 million euros, compared to 0.2 million euros in 2005.

EM.TV’s management board is anticipating a significant
increase in earnings and the overall profitability in 2007, in part due to
refinancing the company’s financial debt in the first half of 2006.

“Our expectations were exceeded in 2006,” says Werner E.
Klatten, the chairman of the management board of EM.TV AG. “EM.TV has grown
considerably and has made significant progress with regard to its earnings
power. Our sports companies have shown their intrinsic capabilities in
particular. The media industry is changing radically at present as a result of
the triumphant march of digitalization. New distributions channels such as
video on demand, mobile contents and Web-TV are changing user habits and are
[altering] the role of classical television. EM.TV is both technologically and
also financially well equipped to deal with the aforesaid trends. Our aim is to
grow further in the coming years and to expand our position as a medium-sized
media house which can be the partner for a large number of companies.”
