Electric Sky Makes Deals in Scandinavia & Canada

LONDON: Electric Sky has secured a range of deals across Scandinavia and Canada, scoring sales on titles such as Guilty Pleasures and Children of the Revolution.

TV Ontario in Canada has picked up My Street. The documentary special is from award winning filmmaker Sue Bourne and Wellpark Productions for Channel 4.

The documentary special Guilty Pleasures from Bungalow Town Productions for Channel 4 has been picked up by YLE Finland, NRK Norway, DRTV Denmark, VPRO in the Netherlands and CBC in Canada. It examines the fantasy world created by Mills & Boon’s popular romance novels.

Customs season three from Favourite Films for Nine Network in Australia has been acquired by Kanal 5 in Sweden, SBS in the Netherlands, Nelonen Media in Finland and TV Norge in Norway. TV Norge also picked up seasons one and two.

YLE has licensed Children of the Revolution, a title from Transmission Films for WDR and the Irish Film Board. It tells the stories of Ulrike Meinhof and Fusako Shigenobu, and has also sold to Australia, Denmark and Turkey.

Kanal 5 in Sweden picked up Addicted to Food: Sharon’s Story from Electric Sky Productions for Discovery UK. It is the story of a 45 stone woman who had a life saving operation and then starved herself to death at the age of 41. It has also sold to New Zealand, Australia and Hungary.
