Eisner Joins IAC Board

NEW YORK: Michael Eisner, former Disney CEO and founder of digital media venture Tornante, has joined the board of InterActiveCorp (IAC).

Eisner served as the CEO of Disney for about 20 years, until 2005. He then set up Tornante. Prior to Disney, Eisner worked with Barry Diller, who now owns a significant voting stake in IAC, at the ABC television network. Diller and Eisner also ran the Paramount movie studio in the ’70s and early ’80s.

IAC has a wide range of businesses, including Ask.com, CitySearch, Vimeo, CollegeHumor, Dictionary.com and Match.com.
