NEW YORK: World Screen has promoted several key staffers, including naming Mansha Daswani as associate publisher and Cesar Suero as advertising and marketing director, while expanding the responsibilities of managing editor Kristin Brzoznowski.

Mansha Daswani, who has been with World Screen since 2002, will continue to serve as executive editor, with oversight for the company’s portfolio of English-language newsletters and managing the production of the bumper MIPTV and MIPCOM issues, as well as contributing to issues throughout the year and overseeing all coverage of the Asian media business. As associate publisher, she will work with Ricardo Guise, World Screen’s publisher, on broader strategic initiatives, including events, special reports and more. She continues to report to both Ricardo Guise and Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director.

“Mansha Daswani has excelled at several facets of our publishing business, never losing sight of the big picture,” Ricardo Guise said. “She has assisted me in several strategic decisions during this time of rapid print and online expansion. While she will continue to work with the editorial department, this new title reflects her invaluable contributions to the business side of our company.”

Cesar Suero, formerly sales and marketing manager, has been upped to advertising and marketing director, taking on a wider role in assisting Ricardo Guise in developing effective packages for clients. He joined World Screen in August 2009 from Major League Soccer. In his ad-sales activities, he is supported by Vanessa Brand, World Screen’s newly appointed advertising and marketing assistant. Both Cesar Suero and Vanessa Brand are fluent in English and Spanish.

“Cesar Suero has impressed the top management at World Screen from the very first day,” Ricardo Guise said. “He has a keen intellect, is a great team player and…a very cool cat. As his responsibilities increase, I am confident he will continue to be a fine ambassador for our company.”

Kristin Brzoznowski is expanding her slate of responsibilities as managing editor, taking on oversight for the production of several issues throughout the year and playing a greater role in the planning and execution of our stable of English-language newsletters. She will also oversee the TV Kids, TV Formats and World Screen distributor guides. She reports to both Mansha Daswani and Anna Carugati. Kristin Brzoznowski is supported on the team by the newly appointed editorial assistant, Marissa Graziadio.
