LONDON: DRG has scooped up the worldwide distribution rights, outside of the U.S., to the new 10×30-minute TV Land comedy series Retired at 35.

Starring George Segal, Johnathan McClain and Jessica Walter, the series is executive produced by Chris Case (Spin City), Michael Hanel (Rita Rocks) and Mindy Schultheis (Reba). It is TV Land’s first major scripted commission since the launch of Hot in Cleveland. It focuses on a young businessman who decides to leave the rat-race of New York City and move into his parents’ Florida retirement home.

“We’re delighted to be working with DRG in bringing Retired at 35 to audiences worldwide," said Eddie Dalva, senior VP of content at MTV Entertainment Group. "The show brings together the highest calibre of acting talent and some of the most trusted names in comedy.”

Andrea Jackson, managing director of acquisitions at DRG, added “Extremely funny, sharp and relevant, TV Land’s Retired at 35 is fast generating an incredible buzz around the world and we’ll soon be announcing multiple international deals.”
