DQE Feature to Air on POGO

HYDERABAD: DQ Entertainment’s 70-minute animated feature Ravan is slated to premiere on Turner International’s Indian kids’ network POGO on August 30.

The Indian animation is based on the Hindu mythology about Ravan, a boy with supernatural powers who went on to defeat his brother and become a powerful king. "We are delighted to bring yet another memorable Indian character to the TV screens in a fun and dramatic avatar like never before," said Krishna Desai, the director of programming at Turner International India. "To watch Ravan’s childhood in an animated feature will be an amazing and enjoyable treat for our viewers. As animation vanguards and home to the largest library of Indian animation titles, we will continue to invest and develop age old Indian stories to offer healthy family entertainment."

Tapaas Chakravarti, the chairman and CEO of DQE Group, added: "The team at DQE has enjoyed working on this production and we are sure that children all over India will love watching the funny and lovable little Ravan! Partnering with Turner International on this production has been seamless and we hope to bring many more such stories to life to entertain children."
