MIAMI/TEL AVIV: Dori Media Group has scored a format deal for Date Blind (Ciega a Citas) with CBS Television Studios, which will develop the series for The CW.

Krista Vernoff, the former executive producer of Grey’s Anatomy, will adapt the series for U.S. audiences and will serve as executive producer along with Raul Mateu, the president of Fluent Media Group. Mateu commented: “Ciega a Citas (Date Blind) series tells a universal story in a very unique way and we are very fortunate to have someone like Krista Vernoff on board to help us create the American version of the series.”

Nadav Palti, the president and CEO of Dori Media Group, added: “The sale of the Ciega a Citas (Date Blind) format to The CW Television Network demonstrates the strength of our scripted offering and our robust relationships with producers around the world. This romantic comedy has received significant interest from TV buyers and producers and we are confident that new adaptation will certainly be successful in the United States.”

Dori is heading to MIPCOM with its brand-new series Split 3: The Real Story, the second season of First Love and Checked in N.Y. Split 3: The Real Story watches as a group of actors who are playing in a vampire series discover that their real life is scarier than the plot of their show. First Love contains 150 short movies documenting teenage love stories. Checked in N.Y. is a docu-reality show that tells different people’s stories by exploring their personal city locations. Along with the three new shows, Dori Media will also present its daily teen drama Diggers, the second season of which is currently in pre-production.

Palti added: "The feedback our top productions and new series received at L.A. Screenings and DISCOP 2011 was very encouraging. DISCOP was a true success and we are certain that MIPCOM 2011 will be equally successful. The new dramas we are about to present will further enrich our already well-established catalogue with new genres of unique appeal. This will strengthen our ability to capture the vast audiences attracted to the telenovela genre.”
