network’s cult hit Johnny Berlin with
the U.S. television premiere of its sequel, Johnny Berlin 2: Notes from the
Dumpster
, on June 16.

DOC will showcase both
films back to back, leading with the sequel at 8 p.m. Produced by Black Shoe
Films and directed by Dominic J. DeJoseph, the sequel follows Johnny in his
midlife crisis as he attempts to overcome the tough times in his own humorous
manner.

“After receiving such an
enthusiastic response asking to see more of Johnny after the original Johnny
Berlin
premiered on Documentary
Channel last year, it has been a delight working with the channel to create the
sequel,” commented DeJoseph, the founder of Black Shoe Films. “I'm looking
forward to bringing more of Johnny's day-to-day life to television, and I'm
honored to have the film’s broadcast premiere on Documentary Channel.”

“The original film really
struck a cord with our viewers, so we decided to join forces with Dominic and Black
Shoe Films and become a part of the sequel as executive producers,” added Tom
Neff, the founder and CEO of Documentary Channel. “We believe even more viewers
will become Johnny fans after having the opportunity to see both films back to
back.”
