Distraction Scores New Sales

MONTREAL, July 23:
Distraction has secured sales for five of its formats, including a deal for The
Next Great Leader
in the Middle
East.

Pyramedia in the Middle
East has taken on The Next Great Leader, with the company’s CEO, Nashwa Al Ruwaini, who is also a popular
television host in the region, set to present the political reality format.

The game show Trade Up was picked up by MasMedia in Sweden, while You
Be the Judge
sold to Direct Sight
in Ukraine for Inter.

Distraction has also
secured sales for The Last Word and
Dirty Rotten Cheater. The
Last Word
sold to Tri Neo Films in
Spain, and the development rights for Dirty Rotten Cheater were picked up by Endemol Italy.

The CEO and founder of
Distraction, Michel Rodrigue, said: “Summer sales are generally geared towards
the game show and reality genres due to the speed at which the productions can
be put together and our most recent deals highlight this trend.”
