Disney Orders Further Season of Phineas and Ferb

BURBANK: A third season of the hit animated series Phineas and Ferb is on order from Disney Channels Worldwide.

Created and executive produced by Dan Povenmire (Family Guy) and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh (The Simpsons, Rocko’s Modern Life), the series follows Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother, Ferb Fletcher, as they set out to conquer boredom and make every day of their 104-day summer vacation count. Phineas and Ferb is a production of Walt Disney Television Animation, and Walt Disney Records will debut the Phineas and Ferb soundtrack, featuring 26 original songs from the series, in September. The brand is also a focus for other Disney divisions, such as Disney Consumer Products (action figures, apparel and accessories), Disney Publishing (books, comics), Disney Interactive Studios (Nintendo DS game) and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

Gary Marsh, the president of entertainment for Disney Channels Worldwide, said: "Phineas and Ferb is the simplest of ideas—two brothers determined to do something unique, something outrageous every single day of their 104 days of summer vacation—and Dan and Swampy have executed it with brilliant comedic flair."
