Disney Appoints Regional Director of HR, Greater China

HONG KONG,
November 27: The Walt Disney Company has named Lawrence Chi to the newly
created position of regional director of human resources for Greater China.

Working from
the Shanghai offices, Chi is tasked with the full spectrum of human resources
management and support, as well as the overall leadership of the Walt Disney
International human resources teams covering Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland
China. His responsibilities extend across all lines of business, including
Media Networks, Studio Entertainment and Disney Consumer Products.

Chi most
recently served as regional director of human resources in the Asia Pacific for
the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

In addition to
Chi, The Walt Disney Company recently appointed four other members to the human
resources team in the region. Shelly Tao joins as human resources director of
Disney Consumer Products, Business Partner, Greater China; Karen Wang as senior
manager of staffing for Greater China; Litisa Lu as human resources manager of
compensation and benefits for China; and Stella Yang as assistant human
resources manager for China.
