Disney-ABC, Poland’s ITI Neovision in SVOD Deal

LONDON, October 25: In an agreement with Disney-ABC
International Television, Polish DTH platform ITI Neovision will make hit ABC
series available to viewers on a subscription-video-on-demand basis via its
“n’Screen” service, from up to a week after their
U.S. linear broadcast.

The new deal will kick off today
with episodes of the current fourth season of Desperate Housewives, which, once the
service has caught up with the U.S. schedule, will soon be available one week
after the U.S. broadcast. The current season launched in the U.S. last month.
The availability of episodes will then follow the U.S. broadcast hiatus
pattern. Season four of Lost will also
be available in line with its U.S. launch in early 2008. These
series are available as part of a subscription fee of $10 per month ($14 per
month combined with nScreen’s movie VOD offering).

Jim Brehm, the senior VP of sales
at Disney-ABC International Television EMEA, commented: "These shows are
some of the most popular, and most anticipated, on global TV, and this
agreement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to work with international
digital media partners to bring this in-demand content to viewers in ever
faster, more flexible ways, to enjoy when and where they want."
