Discovery Networks UK in Sponsorship Deal with Fashion Website

LONDON, November 13: The
British fashion website Oli.co.uk has agreed to sponsor key programming across
Discovery Networks UK’s lifestyle channels Home & Health and Travel &
Living.

The sponsorship goes live
today and will run until December 31. It includes on-air bumpers on either side
of key programs on Discovery Home & Health and Discovery Travel &
Living. The deal also incorporates banner advertising on the Discovery Home
& Health website with a click through to Oli.co.uk.

Discovery Home &
Health and Travel & Living have an audience reach of almost five million
adults a month, with a strong female skew. The Oli.co.uk sponsorship will
encompass key programming in the schedule that taps into the trends of the
modern woman. Highlights in the lineup include Lisa Williams: Life Among the
Dead
, a new series that follows
the British-born clairvoyant Lisa Williams as she uses her talents in
spontaneous and emotional readings that connect people to loves ones who
they’ve lost. Premiering tomorrow at 10 p.m., the show will be promoted on air
across the Discovery Home & Health network, with Oli.co.uk branding
included in each promo.

Other key programs
included in the sponsorship are the reality show Model Life with Petra
Nemcova
, Celebrity Slimming, which aims to uncover the truth behind celebrity
diets and whether they actually work; the second series of the fly-on-the-wall medical show Portland Babies and the Travel & Living show Daytrip
Designer
, a guide which takes the
audiences around Europe’s hottest spots.

Andrew Grieve, the
director of ad sales at Discovery, said: “The Oli.co.uk brand fits perfectly
with the audience profile that watches our lifestyle programming; 73 percent of
Discovery Home & Health’s profile is female. This partnership offers
Oli.co.uk a meaningful connection with Discovery Home & Health and
Discovery Travel & Living’s loyal female viewers who are keen to keep ahead
of the latest lifestyle trends, including fashion.”
