Discovery en Español Series to Feature Mayan Prophesies

MIAMI: The new original Discovery en Español series Apocalipsis Maya looks at the ancient Mayan prophesies about the end of the world.

The three-part mini-series explores the Mayan calendar and the fears behind the prediction that the world will end on December 21, 2012. It is directed by Graham Townsley and narrated by Mexican actress Diana Bracho. It was filmed in Guatemala, Mexico and the U.S. and features interviews with contemporary Mayan priests and pre-eminent archeologists striving to uncover what the Mayas believed. Apocalipsis Maya is by Discovery en Español under the direction of Michela Giorelli and Rafael Rodríguez, with the assistance of Shinning Red Productions. It premieres December 4.
