Discovery Channel Secures Sportswear Sponsorship

PORTLAND/SILVER SPRING,
August 6: Columbia Sportswear has signed a deal to become the official
outfitter of Discovery Channel’s Survivorman and Into the Unknown with Josh Bernstein, in addition to other media tie-ups.

The partnership agreement
includes a co-branded online advertising component and a media buy on the
network, along with Columbia outfitting Survivorman, hosted by Les Stroud, and the new series Into
the Unknown with Josh Bernstein
,
which will focus on subjects such as anthropology, archaeology and
environmental issues.

exposure that highlights the benefits of our products," said Tim Boyle,
the president and CEO of Columbia Sportswear Company. "What's more, the
Discovery Channel delivers a high index of active, outdoor-minded adults, a
