Discovery Channel Adds New Hire to Production & Development Team

SILVER SPRING: Denise Contis has been made senior VP of production and development at Discovery Channel.

Contis will be based in the Los Angeles office, reporting to Nancy Daniels, the executive VP of production and development. Contis will be tasked with developing programming strategies and coordinating with independent producers and external production companies.

Prior to this, Contis was the VP of production at TLC, and worked on shows, including Sarah Palin’s Alaska, Say Yes to the Dress and Police Women.
