Discovery Celebrates 20 Years of International Growth

SILVER SPRING: Discovery Networks International is rolling out a new logo for its flagship Discovery Channel brand in time for the 20th anniversary of the network’s first launch outside of the U.S.

The logo will begin rolling out across all of Discovery’s international markets, beginning in the U.K. on February 15, followed by Latin America on March 1, Asia-Pacific on March 29 and across Europe, the Middle East and Africa beginning in March. Discovery Channel first launched internationally in the U.K. and rest of Europe in 1989. Discovery launched in Latin America and Asia 15 years ago. Discovery now reaches 258 million households in 170 international markets.
