Dinosaur Train Continues to Deliver Deals for Jim Henson

LOS ANGELES: The Jim Henson Company has wrapped up a range of broadcast and home-entertainment agreements for the hit animated preschool series Dinosaur Train.

The terrestrial TV rights for Dinosaur Train were licensed to France 5, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland and TG4 in Ireland. The basic TV rights went to Canal + in Poland for its MiniMini channel. Cable and satellite rights were picked up by Chello TV for Eastern Europe. In Italy, all TV and DVD rights were scooped up by Dall’Angelo Pictures. In Portugal, all TV rights went to Atxilipu and in Scandinavia, home-entertainment rights were taken on by AB Svensk Filmindustri for Sweden, Finland and Norway.

Outside of Europe, the pay cable and satellite rights for Dinosaur Train have been licensed to E-Vision for the United Arab Emirates. Basic cable rights went to HOP! in Israel, broadcast rights to On Digital Media in South Africa and home-entertainment rights to Beyond Home Entertainment.

The CGI-animated preschool series launched in May on Discovery Kids Latin America and has been licensed to further partners such as TVO and TFO in Canada, Knowledge in British Columbia, NRK in Norway, Selecta Vision in Spain, Al Jazeera for the UAE and Nick Jr. in Australia.
