Details Revealed for New Power Rangers Season

LONDON: The upcoming 18th season of the Power Rangers, which will air on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons in North America in 2011, features a Samurai theme, Saban Brands has revealed.

Production is under way on 40 episodes of Power Rangers Samurai, which is being launched to the international broadcast community by Saban Brands and MarVista Entertainment at MIPCOM. At Brand Licensing Europe next week, Elie Dekel, the president of Saban Brands, and Kirk Bloomgarden, senior VP of international licensing, will be shoring up L&M deals.

In the new season, the young Rangers must master Samurai skills and develop their unique powers over the elements of fire, water, sky, forest, and earth, in order to face off against the Evil Master Xandred.
