DECODE Rolls Out New Live-Action Tween Series

CANNES, October 8: DECODE
Entertainment has lined-up four additional broadcasters for its new live-action
tween comedy The Latest Buzz, a
Family Channel Canada commission, including Disney Channels in France and
Italy.

The 39×22-minute show has
also been snapped up by Boomerang UK and ABC Australia. It follows five
students of a progressive high school who are enlisted to work for the
struggling youth-oriented magazine Teen Buzz. The show continues DECODE’s track record with
live-action tween fare, following the rollout of Radio Free Roscoe and Naturally Sadie, currently in its third season. At MIPCOM this week,
the Canadian distributor is launching Turner Broadcasting’s series My Spy
Family, which airs alongside The
Latest Buzz on Boomerang in the
U.K. as part of the channel’s recently introduced live-action block.
