DECODE Ramps Up Licensing Campaign for Franny’s Feet

TORONTO/LONDON, October 3: DECODE Entertainment has inked a
raft of home entertainment and merchandising deals for its hit preschool
property Franny’s Feet.

DECODE has reached an agreement with Allumination Filmworks for U.S. home entertainment rights and has
inked an extended home entertainment agreement with Mediaway
in Poland.

Additionally, DECODE has also signed a number of
international licensing sub-agents through its representative, The Sharpe
Company. Rocket Licensing in the U.K., CPLG (Copyright Promotions) in France and
Italy, Scandinavia’s Alicom Licensing, IMC (International Merchandising
Consultants) in Argentina and Korea’s Asiana Licensing, have all come on board
to extend the reach of Franny’s Feet in key markets.

DECODE has also
inked U.S. merchandise deals based on Franny’s Feet for Halloween costumes with Disguise Inc.,
and with Cadaco for crayon and paper arts activity
products and glue-based cling moulds and frames for activity. In Argentina, IMC
has already signed up Ediciones B as a publisher of storybooks
and soft-cover titles in Argentina and Uruguay.

PLAYSKOOL has the worldwide master toy and game license for Franny’s
Feet
. A series of toys and games
incorporating dolls, accessories, role play, games and puzzles are set to
launch in 2008. Additionally, Penguin Group in the
U.S. and Simon & Schuster have come on board as publishing partners for the
U.S. and North America. Grosset & Dunlap, an imprint of Penguin Young
Readers Group, is set to launch storybooks, readers, stickerbooks, a
series of novelty books such as board, lift-the-flap and word game activity
books in 2008 and Sımon & Schuster will launch color and activity books and kits in stores in 2008.

Franny’s Feet, which follows a little girl and her magical shoes, is
commissioned by Five in the U.K., airing on its popular Milkshake! block, and
Canada’s Family Channel. To date, DECODE has
concluded more than 80 television broadcast and video agreements for the
series, covering more than 150 countries. The show is currently airing with successful ratings on PBS in the U.S.
and on several international channels, including ABC Australia, France
5, Disney Channel Germany, Cartoon Network in Japan, Korea and Taiwan, Italy’s
Rai, TV2 Denmark and TV12 Singapore.
